A cable shovel is ideal for removing stones and soil from trenches.

Polet offers these in 3 sizes: 12, 14 and 16 cm.

Handles

A cable shovel has a slightly curved handle to make scooping easier. This curved handle makes sure the shovel is well balanced and you need less force. The handle of a shovel is 130 cm long so you have to bend over as little as possible.

The most used wood species is ash. This wood is very strong, yet flexible enough. Polet also has beech wood, this is a less expensive option that is slightly less firm and less resistant to water. In addition to the classic wooden handles Polet also has handles made of fiberglass reinforced plastic, which is about 3 times stronger than ash.
